  AARON GOLDBERG QUARTET - Aaron Goldberg is a young pianist and composer working at the forefront of creative jazz music. His latest recording project as a leader is entitled “Unfolding” (J Curve Records), a trio album built around original music and featuring the stellar rhythm section comprised of longtime bandmates Reuben Rogers and Eric Harland. “Turning Point” (J Curve) marked Aaron’s 1999 studio debut as a leader and was focused on larger ensembles; saxophonists Mark Turner and Joshua Redman joined his trio on this debut, along with vocalist Carla Cook and Karsh Kale on tablas. Aaron also makes up one-third of the cooperative group OAM Trio, which additionally features Israeli bassist Omer Avital and Catalan multi-percussionist Marc Miralta. OAM, recently showcased on National Public Radio’s JazzSet, has just released a brand new album in 2002 entitled “Flow”. During this period he enjoyed a long stint as the house pianist at Boston’s historic Wally’s Café, before relocating to his current residence in Brooklyn in late 1996.
