SUPERSYSTEM A Million Microphones (Touch And Go Records/Wide) Ascoltando il nuovo e secondo lavoro (non volendo considerare quelli pubblicati a nome El Guapo) dei Supersystem, ho avvertito la sensazione di essere parte di un girotondo sonoro, che non solo mi stava consentendo di viaggiare attraverso il mondo e i suoni, ma anche di assaporare il gusto della spensieratezza, sebbene non venga mai messa in rima con inconsistenza creativa. Il tutto senza che, all'interno di 'A Million Microphones', siano evidentemente presenti (se non in minima parte) sonorità etniche, world music o folk tradizionali, anzi il sentore complessivo dell'album è marcatamente elettronico, però è quel senso di esplorazione pionieristica e per certi versi da comune hippy, che anima la band statunitense a spingerci a ciondolare o a ballare con movenze mai troppo sostenute seguendo i brani del quartetto. Brani in cui il funky, un certo hip hop in forma canzone pop (più che non ereditato dal rap), l'indie rock figlio della new wave geometrica e del post punk meno spigoloso e l'electro sound organico si divertono a scambiarsi i ruoli di primi attori, ma alla fine ci fanno apprezzare undici tracce il cui sapore esotico allieterà a lungo il vostro palato. www.supersystemband.com/
