  VICE SQUAD BIOGRAPHY 1999-2004 - Band Members; Beki Bondage-Vocals/Guitar; Paul Rooney-Lead Guitar/Vocals; Tony Piper-Drums; Michael Giaquinto-Bass/Vocals; Female fronted punk rock band VICE SQUAD are back with their fourth album in the past four years,mixing hard rock power,political passion,punk attitude,glam rock and excitement to create"RICH AND FAMOUS",THE album and tour of 2003/2004. In April and May of 1999 the band played a hugely successful European tour visiting Holland, Germany, Austria,Slovenia,Italy,Switzerland and Spain.They also played the massive punk festival "Holidays In The Sun" alongside Sham 69 and The Damned. In July and August of 1999 the band toured the Usa and Canada as part of the now legendary SOCIAL CHAOS tour playing alongside fourteen other bands.Us and Canadian audiences loved Vice Squad so much that the band returned to North America in April,May and June of 2000.The band played in over 20 states and Canada-11,500 miles in six weeks.Sell out shows in California included the legendary Whisky A Go Go and also a packed CBGB's in New York city made this a tour to remember.Kids as young as 14 and old school punks came out in droves to see the band perform classic songs alongside new material from "GET A LIFE" and "RESURRECTION". In April 2000 the band released their EP "LAVENDER HILL MOB" on cd and vinyl format on French label Combat Rock.Also an album was released on Canadian label Sudden Death Records entitled "LO-FI LIFE",strictly for the Us and Canadian markets. Vice Squad also have tracks on both a Metallica and a Nirvana tribute album on Us label Cleopatra Records. 2001 saw the release of the album "BANG TO RIGHTS" on the premier uk label EMI Records.The album was mastered at the world famous Abbey Road studios.The band also played festivals in Dublin,The Czech Republic and Barcelona as well as the uk punk festival. The band are currently writing new material and will shortly be looking for a new deal for either a new album or more likely a new ep. UK's guitar magazine writes- Rich and famous is a pop classic,sounding just as fresh and sassy as anything the glam kids of New York are throwing at us....like Debbie Harry with an edge.Beki spits out sex,hate fuelled lyrics over buzzsaw guitars with sweet distain.long live the punk princess. Hit List Magazine says- aul Rooney plays some really lovely,melodic solos and chiming octave progressions,underneath all the distortion and chunka chunkas,while drummer Tony Piper and bassist Michael Giaquinto always hold down a requisitely brutal,solid and heavy bottom during both simple parts and explosive changes.It also helps to have a baleful,spitfire lead singer.....
